Getting here
By train
Travel to Castres station. From there a transfer is possible for 50 euros per person, paid in cash on arrival.
By plane
Fly to Toulouse. From the airport you continue by train to Castres, and from Castres station we can bring you to the estate by transfer if you wish. Prefer to drive yourself? A rental car takes about an hour and a half.
By car

Quietly located, close to Castres
The estate sits in a quiet, green setting, yet Castres, the nearest larger town, is easily reached. We offer a transfer from Castres station to the estate. If you'd rather drive yourself, local roads bring you through the villages of the Sidobre straight to the estate. The area around Lacrouzette is made up of small villages, fields and woodland, with the granite rock formations the Sidobre is known for scattered through the landscape.
For travellers who already know the region
If you already know the Tarn and the Sidobre from earlier visits, you'll recognise the feel: rustic villages, granite boulders across the landscape, and a pace of life quite different from the coast or Occitanie's larger cities. For first-time visitors, it's an introduction to a less touristy corner of southern France, where nature and outdoor life come first.
The surroundings
The Sidobre is known for its granite landscape: scattered boulders, woodland and streams, with paths that lend themselves perfectly to long trail rides. Castres is close by for a day of shopping or the market. Anyone not riding will find walking routes and villages throughout the regional nature park.
